Rainy days and downfalls

Today, the day has been raining all day and well, it has been pretty much a depressing day i suppose. The best I came to being happy is when me and my friend sitting next to me had an awkward moment. Only that was actually funny throughout the day. Hmm.. the rain today got me thinking and questioning. I would not say that I'm a very religious person but i do believe in the existence of God. He is out there somewhere and there is a part of Him inside of every one of us, just waiting to be found.. Hey, this reminds me of another thing i was thinking about today.
One evening an old Cherokee Indian told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, ‘My son, the battle is between two ‘wolves’ inside us all.One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego. The other is good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.’ The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: ‘Which wolf wins?’ The old Cherokee simply replied, ‘The one you feed.’
This clearly brings us back to the thought that there is a part of God withing every one of us, meaning good but in Nature, in life, there must always be a balance of things therefore, there is an equal part of devil inside every one of us too. The delicate balance of the scale could be tipped just by a single actions. Whatever we do determines what we become. It up to us to determine which path we would take, which side would we succumb to, whether we get consumed by the licking flames of evil or be bathed in the light of a humanitarian. It all comes down to you. What do you want to do with your life?
